State Life Insurance Corporation of Pakistan, Pakistan's largest life & health insurer, is seeking to hire an experienced Shariah Advisor for its Window Takaful Operations namely "Tayyab Takaful" in accordance with SECP's Shariah Advisors Regulations, 2017, based in Karachi, Pakistan.
The position is offered on a contract basis initially for three (03) years (extendable) with an executive base salary range between Rs. 400,000 to Rs. 1,000,000 per month (An attractive compensation package will be offered). • Option A: Shahadat-ul-Aalamiyyah Degree (Dars-e-Nizami) from any recognized Board of Madaris with minimum 70% marks AND Bachelor's degree recognized by HEC of Pakistan with minimum 2nd Class. • Option B: Post-Graduate Degree in Kuliyyatush Shariah or Kuliyyah Usooluddin, L.L.M (Shariah), MS Shariah or equivalent with min GPA 2.5 or equivalent from an HEC-recognized institution. |
• At least 4 years' experience of giving Shariah rulings in fiqh, preferably fiqh-ul-muamulat (Islamic commercial jurisprudence) including Takhasus-fil-Ifta; OR • At least 5 years' experience in teaching/research/training in Islamic financial services; OR • At least 5 years' experience working in relevant departments of an institution offering Islamic financial services / banking / securities / Takaful regulator. • Preference for experience as Shariah Advisor for Pension Fund Manager, Dedicated Family Takaful, or Window Takaful Operations. • Must meet SECP Integrity & Soundness criteria (no default on financial dues/taxes, no association with illegal activities). |
Terms & Requirements
- Appointment is subject to final clearance and approval from SECP.
- Initial contract for 3 years, extendable upon mutual consent.
- An attractive compensation package will be offered to the selected candidate.
- No TA/DA will be admissible for test/interview.
- A combination of eligible work experience is acceptable as per SECP guidelines.
